Below you will find the gallery of flavors that Big Bend Coffee Roasters has to offer.   Through the Midland Downtown Farmers Market season, you may use this form to pre-order coffee you want to have available for purchase at Saturday's market.   If you pay for your coffee through the shopping cart it will be packed and ready for you to pick up on Saturday morning at the Midland Downtown Farmers Market.  If you do not pre-pay for your coffee I will still order it, but I can only hold it until 11:00 a.m. after that I have to put it out for sale to the general public.

Rich, smooth, & full bodied. Chocolate notes compliment a pleasing bitter-sweetness. This coffee is a combination of two of our smoothest coffees: Guatemala Maya Ixil, and Bolivia Caranavi. Together, they make a delectable, incredibly smooth blend! Rich, smooth, & full bodied. Chocolate notes compliment a pleasing bitter-sweetness.
 

Vienna Roast. A subtle nuttiness and smooth finish, well balanced. CENAPROC, an award-winning cooperative of 140 small farmers, produces this Strictly Hard Bean at altitudes of 5,000 feet. In 2007 this co-op took home two awards from the prestigious Cup of Excellence competition. The forested slopes where CENAPROC members have been farming organic coffee for over 20 years contrast sharply with the widespread damage of slash-and-burn agriculture that is taking place all around them.
Overall, this is a delicate, bright coffee—- the classic clean cup and delightfully aromatic. Unlike most coffee, the best flavor really emerges as the cup cools, and don’t diminish in flavor, but actually grow in intensity.
 

Vienna Roast. This well-balanced, medium-bodied, honey-sweet coffee is produced by a co-op of courageous women in a region infamous for coca and violence. A portion of the proceeds from this Café Femenino are used to support the women of Colombia.
This Colombian coffee is complex with hints of caramel, and cherry along with a smooth chocolate finish. It has a gentle yet crisp acidity. It is an exceptionally balanced coffee. Vienna Roast. Vienna Roast. Famously rich with a pleasant tartness and floral aroma. OROMIA Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union, a large organization of indigenous farmers, produces these Yirgacheffe varietals in Ethiopia’s southwestern rainforest - the birthplace of coffee. OROMIA’s coffee is forest-grown, organic, and bird-friendly, and they use traditional techniques such as composting coffee by-products, utilizing shade trees and natural fertilizers, and intercropping citrus and banana for the community’s consumption.
Widely recognized as one of the world’s most exquisite coffees, you’ll savor the fragrant and flowery citrus notes you won’t find in any other bean. It has a pungent and buttery aroma with deep-toned and well balanced chocolate tones with a sweet caramel finish.
 

Fair Trade & Organic Pacific-Northwest Espresso Blend Smooth, dark, and winey. Excellent solo or with milk.
The popularity of Espresso started in the Pacific-Northwest, and this will prove why. It has a rich caramel colored crema and deep bottomless taste.

Fair Trade & Organic Decaffeinated Italian Espresso. Our Swiss Water Process decaffeinated espresso has the same intensity as our Italian Espresso, but is caffeine-free. This espresso is a crowd-pleaser! All of our decaffeinated coffees are processed by the patented Swiss Water Process, which uses only water to remove caffeine from the beans.

Vienna Roast. Silky smooth Vienna roast with a sweet fragrance and pleasant, mild aftertaste. The Asociacion Chajulense Val Vaq Quyol cooperative is situated in the western highlands of Guatemala at 5,500 feet above sea level, where they have diversified their crops to include organic cardamom, chamomile, honey, and passionflower. Fair Trade premiums have afforded health, credit, and education projects previously unavailable to their community.
Just a little bit tart and lemony, this is a softer, rounder cup with a floral aroma.
 

Full City Roast. The Fair Trade cooperative La Unión de Sociedades de la Selva cultivates this exceptional coffee in the Lacandon jungle of southern Mexico. The coop is composed of almost 2,000 small-scale indigenous farmers. We roast this bright and crisp coffee to Full-City—our lightest roast—to emphasize its pleasant notes of chocolate, orange peel and nut. Roasted any darker, the beans would lose the delicate brightness that makes it such a favorite coffee for breakfast.
This is a low acidity coffee, with a medium body, mellow note, and a rich aroma.
 

All of our decaffeinated coffees are processed by the patented Swiss Water Process, which uses only water to remove caffeine from the beans.
100% Fair Trade & Organic Decaffeinated Mexico Chiapas A rich, lightly roasted coffee. It has all the flavors of a Vienna Roast, without the caffeine. The environmentally sound Swiss Water Process uses only water for the decaffeination process.

Also known as Big Bend Coffee Roasters Italian Espresso, this is a dark, nuanced, and bittersweet coffee. Notable crema retention, this is Big Bend Roasters signature 100% Organic and Fair Trade espresso blend.
This bean is not just for Espresso drinkers, but can be brewed into a delightfully delicious cup in any drip or perk coffee maker. This is a rich, sweet tasting coffee with hints of chocolate and caramel with nutty undertones. The aroma is light yet complex and it has a delicate clean aftertaste.
 

Vienna Roast. A tangy cup, complex on the palate, with cherry-vanilla aromas. This Arabica varietal was transplanted from the famed Jamaican Blue Mountains coffee plantations. The cooperative, AGOGA, consists of 2,600 coffee growers on a total of 325 acres at 5,200' elevation. Coffee is the only cash crop in this region.
This is a deep, rich coffee with a gorgeous smoky flavor that will remind you of some of the better Jamaican coffees. It has a refined sweetness with layers of flavor and a rich body.
 

French Roast. Sumatran coffees have long been prized by coffee aficionados for their full flavor, magnificently heavy body and mellow acidity. This naturally processed organic coffee is cultivated by small-scale farmers at 5000’ above sea level. The tropical environment of the Gayo Mountain region, in the northwestern corner of the Indonesian island of Sumatra, produces clean coffees with a low acidity. We roast this superior varietal to emphasize these most desirable traits. Our deep but restrained French Roast lets its exotic flavor and richness shine through and blend with its velvety body.
Sumatran coffee is one of the smoothest and complex in the world, very full bodied, rich flavor, and a vibrant, low key acidity. It has an herbal, earthy aroma, and flavors of fruit with grapefruit and blackberry hints with wisps of banana and butterscotch.
 

A subtle blend of Ethiopian and Bolivian beans, this coffee is perfect for cold brewing.
 

100% Fair Trade & Organic Viva La Feminista – Café Femenino from Peru
French Roast. Rich and nuanced, and roasted to reveal caramel without overpowering this coffee's unique flavor. In the coffee producing world, it’s extremely rare for women to participate in selling or in deciding how money from sales will be used. These Peruvian women who live and work in the jungle of the Andes are a remarkable exception. Beyond the standard fair trade price premiums, we contribute a portion of the proceeds to a women’s shelter here in the Big Bend.
